You've just retired or retirement is on the horizon.  Now what!

I'll admit to not having any empirical data on which I base the statement, but it is with the greatest degree of confidence that I suggest that the vast majority of people at this stage of their lives are deeply concerned about their future prospects.  If you don't agree then you're probably one of the few who is either independently wealthy or was somehow smart enough to recognize the recent horrific economic downturn before it happened and therefore sidestepped its devastating effects.
